Introduction to PEMF

During these stressful and trying times, finding ways to support the nervous system and immune system are key. PEMF therapy utilizes high intensity, short duration electromagnetic pulses of energy that safely penetrate the body to help stimulate cell function. By stimulating or ‘exercising’ the body’s cells, proper voltage, nutrient flow, waste elimination, and oxygenation are reestablished, optimizing the body’s self-healing and regulating functions.

What to expect during a PEMF Session

A PEMF session is gentle and non-invasive and can be tailored to support the specific needs of each client. Most clients opt to lie down on the PEMF bed for the duration of their session however, sitting is also an option for those that cannot lie flat or have an issue that would best be pulsed sitting upright. PEMF accessories are often utilized to help direct the pulsing to specific areas of the body (e.g. joints, low back, head etc.). Similar to regular exercise, PEMF has a cumulative effect and it is recommended to pulse for 60 minutes two to three times per week, especially for chronic conditions (i.e. arthritis, osteoporosis, neuropathy, alzheimers, depression, anxiety, etc.). Packages are available and can be utilized by individuals or families.

PEMF Technology

According to research from Yale Medical University, from as far back as 1932, they discovered that the depletion of electrical energy from the body is the root cause of general unwellness. Dr. Jerry Tennant, MD, author of Healing is Voltage explained how optimal health is always defined by the voltage of our cells. He stated that chronic sickness occurs when cell voltage drops below -20 millivolts. PEMF is a donating source of energy that helps the body repair, regenerate, and rebuild naturally, enhancing the functionality of cells. Nikola Tesla was the first to demonstrate the healing principles of electromagnetic fields and his research evolved into what we now know today as Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy (PEMF).

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has also done significant research on PEMF therapy and its ability to counteract the negative health effects astronauts can experience as a result of space travel. NASA confirmed the efficacy of electromagnetic waves on improving life cycle and function of cells. It also showed that PEMF therapy could successfully address problems such as lack of energy, sleep disturbances, inflammation, joint and muscle pain, flu-like symptoms, and impaired blood flow.

What can PEMF help with

In addition to helping with pain and inflammation, scientific research has shown that PEMF therapy can support the following:

• strengthening and building bone
• stimulating tissue healing
• aiding the repair and recovery of acute injuries (e.g. fractures, sprains and post-surgical inflammation),
• reducing stress and fatigue
• increasing relaxation
• supporting more restorative sleep. Whether you are dealing with chronic pain, a recent injury or surgery, looking to maintain your overall health, or would like to optimize athletic performance come and experience a PEMF session for yourself. PEMF therapy and acupuncture are a potent and powerful combination to help bring balance and harmony back to the body and mind.

More and more studies and research on the efficacy of PEMF therapy are being done on conditions including:

• Multiple Sclerosis
• Cancer
• Lyme Disease
• Alzeimers and dementia
• Osteoporosis
• Arthritis
• Auto-immune conditions
• Traumatic brain injuries
